Blood Analyzer   Industrial design Mechanical engineering   Objective Our charge was to create a new kind of table top blood analyzer that would bring the lab to the veterinarian's office. Space in this environment is at a premium, so the device had to be small, intuitive to use, and easy to service.   Results We rearranged the internal components so the user interaction was in the front of the machine. This optimized the user accessible part of the footprint. This product was essentially a lab-in-a-box, we oversimplified it's use to free up the vet to perform their everyday tasks. All you had to do was load the sample test tubes and close the door.
